Guidelines for Contacting the Embassy of India, Seoul for Consular Queries

The Embassy of India, Seoul remains committed to providing efficient and timely consular services to members of the Indian community and other applicants in the Republic of Korea. To ensure prompt assistance and effective prioritization of urgent matters, applicants are requested to follow the communication guidelines outlined below.

Routine Consular Queries

  • For all routine, non-urgent consular queries, applicants are requested to contact the Embassy exclusively through the official email ID: cons.seoul@mea.gov.in

Email communication enables proper documentation, accurate responses and timely follow up. The callers are advised to clearly mention their full name, contact number, application reference (if any), and nature of the query.

Telephone Enquiries – For Important and Time-Sensitive Matters

The Consular Wing may be contacted through the designated telephone numbers
+82-2-792-4257, Ext 407 (Operator) only for important or time-sensitive matters requiring immediate clarification during office hours. Due to high volumes of consular work, interviews, and official duties, Embassy staff may not always be able to attend calls immediately. In such cases, applicants are encouraged to follow up via the official email ID for assured response.

Emergency Contact – Strictly for Emergencies

  • Emergency Contact Number: 010-9356-4188

This number is strictly for Indian nationals in genuine distress and is operational only after office hours, on weekends, and on holidays. Not for passport, visa, OCI, or routine consular queries
