Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor, Nalanda University met Mr. Kim Dong-han, Chairman, Board of Trustees for Dongkuk University and Mr. Yoon Jae-woong, President, Dongkuk University on 29 September 2025 in Seoul. Discussion held on initiating student/faculty exchange under MOU signed between Nalanda University and Dongguk University in 2023.

Deputy Chief of Mission and Cd’A Mr Nishi Kant Singh welcomed Prof Chaturvedi at the Embassy. Discussions held on leveraging shared heritage of Buddhism for strengthening people to people and cultural exchanges between India and the Republic of Korea.

Prof Chaturvedi also addressed a select gathering of Dongguk University faculty and students on “Development Finance, Global Development Compact and Buddhist Philosophy’. Prof Chaturvedi highlighted ‘Nฤlandฤ Spirit: Buddhist Principles Woven into Global Development’ which emphasizes capacity building and training in the Global South to empower human resources; net zero campus; localized global community engagement and others
