Deputy Chief of Mission and Cd’A Mr Nishi Kant Singh met Mr. Kim Myung-jin, Director General, Marine Policy Bureau, and Mr. Choi Seong-yong, Director General, Maritime Affairs and Safety Bureau in the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries on 11 September 2025 at Sejong City.

Cd’A briefed them about the upcoming edition of India Maritime Week 2025 scheduled to be held from 27–31 October 2025 in Mumbai and sought their participation in the event. Discussions also held on India’s maritime investment roadmap, national maritime heritage complex, and opportunities for collaborations between India and RoK across maritime sector.

India Maritime Week is a flagship event of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways in the Government of India. It endeavors to bring together policy vision, commercial deal-making, technology showcases, and community engagement into one integrated platform for shaping the future of the Blue Economy.
