The Embassy organised Bharat Parv – A journey through the Indian culture, creativity and connect -along the sidelines of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) at Busan on 22 September 2025.

The vibrant evening of Indian cultural performance brought together around 250 eminent dignitaries from the international as well as Korean Media and Entertainment Industry. The Chairperson of BIFF, Mr. Park Kwang-su, Director of the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) Ms. Ellen Y.D. Kim and Director of the Busan Film Commission (BFC), Mr. Kang Sung-kyu were among others who attended the evening.

In his keynote address Dr.L.Murugan, Hon’ble Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India , underlined India’s presence at #BIFF 2025, reflecting India’s commitment to strengthen cultural diplomacy and expanding creative collaborations with Korean filmmakers and other global players.

Hon’ble Minister of State also highlighted the success of the inaugural edition of WAVES Bazaar @ Asian Content & Film Market (ACFM) at BIFF. The success of the initiative was highlighted by the connect and collaborations which happened in the Bharat Pavilion for the Indian filmmakers with Korean and other International filmmakers.

Hon’ble Minister of State underlined the strong Indian representation at BIFF this year, with 10 Indian projects being showcased and five projects selected for the co-production market at ACFM.
