Deputy Chief of Mission and Cd’A Mr. Nishi Kant Singh attended the 7th edition of International Forum on Hydrogen Energy organised by Chungcheongnam-do province on 18 September at Benikea Hotel, Seosan.

Speaking during Session on Global Hydrogen Policies, Cd’A gave an outline of National Green Hydrogen Mission with targetted production of 5 MMT per annum of Green Hydrogen by 2030; USD 2.4 billion financial incentives under SIGHT for manufacturing of electrolysers and production of green hydrogen; pilot Projects for steel, mobility, shipping, decentralized energy applications and others. Other speakers included senior representatives from Australia and Denmark.

Cd’A also apprised the Korean participants about the participation of Indian companies in the ongoing tender process for clean hydrogen in the Republic of Korea. Encouraged them to participate in the growing hydrogen ecosystem in India and to explore collaboration opportunities with Indian companies.

The Embassy facilitated participation of Indian company as a speaker on the session on ‘Domestic and International Hydrogen Industry and Technology Status’.

Cd’A also met Mr Taehuem Kim, Hon’ble Governor of Chungcheongnam-do and Mr. Wanseob Lee, Hon’ble Mayor of Seosan-si and briefed them about growing hydrogen ecosystem in India and potential opportunities for collaboration in this sector.
