The Embassy of India organized a briefing session for the Korean businesses in food sector on World Food India (WFI), a flagship event of Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) in the Government of India. 

The 4th edition of WFI is scheduled to be held from September 25 – 28, 2025, in New Delhi, with the aim to position India as a global hub for food innovation, investment, and sustainability. 

Mr Nishi Kant Singh, Deputy Chief of Mission, welcomed the representatives from the Korean food industry and highlighted the opportunities for Korean companies to participate in Indian food processing sector estimated to reach USD 700 billion by 2030. 

Mr Vikram Kesharee Pradhan, Director of MoFPI, gave an overview of Indian food processing sector and benefits of participation in WFI 2025. FICCI gave a presentation on the key element of WFI 2025, which features a series of Buyer-Seller Meets, thematic & technical sessions, CEO Roundtable, dedicated pavilions on alcoholic beverages, food processing and packaging machineries, post-harvest technologies and others. 

Engaging discussions held over Q&A session. Korean participants were encouraged to participate in WFI 2025 as it would give them the opportunity to engage with tens of thousands of stakeholders spanning the entire food value chain from farm to fork.
