Deputy Chief of Mission and Cd’A Mr Nishi Kant Singh had a meeting with Mr. Yeungshik KIM, Chairperson, National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST) on 11 September 2025 in his office at Sejong city. Mr Naman Upadhyaya, First Secretary (Political) joined the meeting.

Chairperson Kim gave an overview of Government-funded Research Institutes (GRIs) in RoK supported by NST, namely Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), National Institute of Green Energy (NIGT), Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB), Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) and others.

Discussions held on NST’s existing MoU with Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology in the Government of India and possible ways to strengthen S&T collaboration & national R&D capabilities between India and RoK
