The Embassy of India hosted the delegation led by Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on August 27-28, 2025 to apprise local stakeholders about investment opportunities in Chhattisgarh. The Embassy facilitated roadshows and meetings with businesses and industry associations for the delegation.

The Embassy and Korea International Trade Association (KITA), organized ‘Chhattisgarh Investor Connect Roadshow’ on 28 August. Chhattisgarh CM also met KITA Chairman Mr. Jin-Sik Yoon. Discussions held on Chattisgarh during the CII-KITA annual business seminar in November 2025 in New Delhi. Another Investor Connect Roundtable was organized in partnership with Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) on 27 August 2025.

Chattisgarh CM highlighted the strong industrial base with the presence of core industries and extensive mineral reserves. Ambassador Kumar gave an overview of the multi-faceted partnership between India and Korea including deeper commercial ties, growing investments and flow of Korean funds into India.

Detailed presentation on business and investment opportunities was made during both events, highlighting Chhattisgarh as power surplus state with relatively lower cost of doing business, state government bearing training cost for industries, development of first Greenfield smart city (Nava Raipur) and other investor-friendly aspects. Both events were well-attended with engaging interaction with Chhattisgarh government officials over the Q&A session.

Chhattisgarh CM also met Chairman, Advanced Technology Center Association (ATCA), an association of leading Korean SMEs in cutting-edge technologies including semiconductor, electronics, pharma etc. Separate meetings were held with Korean companies providing rail maintenance solutions and green mobility solutions (setting up of EV charging infrastructure in Chhattisgarh)
