Rajesh N. Naik, a career diplomat from the Indian Foreign Service, has been serving as the Consul General of India for Hong Kong and Macau SARs since November 2025.
He had earlier served as the Director (East Asia) in the Ministry of External Affairs and as a Special Assistant to the Vice-President of India in New Delhi. In his overseas assignments, he had served as a political officer in Tokyo and as Deputy Consul General in San Francisco.
Mr. Naik holds a postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology and a Certificate in International Law from the United Nations Institute for Training & Research (UNITAR) in Geneva. He is fluent in Kannada (his native language), English, and Hindi, and has conversational proficiency in Japanese.
He is married to Supriya KV, an academic in the field of Behavioural Science, and they have a daughter.
